Barrel 1.3.0 *Crack* add 3D effect for homescreen icon pages

Barrel is a new tweak available in Cydia, developed by Aaron Ash which adds a 3D “cube” effect to your iPhone’s springboard. This is a very cool tweak which changes the look of how your home screen icons scroll. Please note that this works for all devices running iOS 4.x + apart from the iPad or those with SBRotator installed.

This is similar to the Compiz desktop effect seen on Linux where instead of scrolling between pages, you scroll between different sides of a cube.

There is no icon for this tweak as the options appear in Settings. The only option available at the moment is to have either the icons appear inside the cube, or outside the cube. I prefer the outside cube option, as it flows better along icon pages but see both for yourself below and the video of it in action after the break.

You can download and install Barrel as follow:

- Run Cydia

- Press Manage tap

- Press Sources botton

- Press Edit

- Press Add

- Enter source: http://cydia.xsellize.com/

- Press Add Source

- Cydia will now update your sources. Press the large Return to Cydia button when
finished.

- Press the Done button at the top right of the sources list.

- Press to select the source we just added.

- Search for and select the Barrel package from the list of packages.

- Press the Install button at the top right of the screen.
